How to get to Trad

Trad province locates on the east of Thailand, with its border connected to Cambodia.  Its total distance from Bangkok is around 315 kilometers, about 4-5 hours to travel.

1.        By private car

• Bangna – Trad Route – use Highway No. 3 via Samutpralan, passing Chonburi, Rayong, and Chanthaburi until you reach Trad.  Total distance is about 385 kilometers.

• Bangna – Klaeng Route – use Highway No. 3 then turn left in to Highway No. 344 (Chonburi – Ban Bueng – Klaeng) When you reach Klaeng, take a left turn again into Highway No. 3 to get to Chanthaburi, and Trad.  Total distance is about 315 kilometers.

2.        By hired minibus

• From the airport or wherever your want of Bangkok – the appointed point of Trad.  Price is 1,600 Bht/Day.  This minibus accommodates about 8-10 person.

3.        By bus

• Right now, taking a bus to Trad is convenience.  There are both private and state buses available.  Bus types ranged from ordinary to V.I.P ones.  Which one to choose is depended on your pocket.

Trad – Bangkok (Ekamai) P.1 Bus leaves at every hour during 07.00 a.m. -06.00 p.m.  Bus fare 189 Baht.

• Trad – Bangkok (Ekamai) V.I.P Bus leaves at 08.30 a.m., 10.30 a.m., 00.00 p.m., 02.30 p.m., 05.00 p.m., and 11.00 p.m.  Bus fare 197 Baht.

When you are arrived at Trad and would like to get to the place you want, here are the songthaew(mini-bus) routes:

• Trad – Laem Ngob parks at Robinson Department Store.  Total distance is 16 kilometers.  Fare is 20 Baht/Person.

• Trad – Laem Sok parks in front of Trad’s Fresh Market Store.  Total distance is 28 kilometers.  Fare is 20 Baht/Person.

• Trad – Klong Yai parks at the back of Trad’s Fresh Market Store. Total distance is 75 kilometers.  Fare is 50 Baht.

• There’s also Songthaew which you can hire to any parts of the city.  Each bus accommodates about 8-10 persons.  Price is negotiable.
