Koh Kood is located in the center of Ao Thai You can reach this island by going in a southern direction of Trad or in an eastern direction of Thailand. As it is far from Trad about 80 kilometers, visiting Koh Kood by speedboat is convenient in 1.15 hours. For the second choice, by ferryboat, then go ashore in the east or the west of the island. This will take time around two and four hours respectively.

With the area of 129 square kilometers, Koh Kood is considered to be the second largest island to Koh Chang in Trad Sea. It is the border island as well as it separates Thailand and Cambodia.

Agriculture is the major career of people here such as coconut garden, Hevea brasiliensis garden, fisher-man, etc. Although Koh Kood is very far from the capital, the government has prepared complete infrastructure, especially the road network. For insrance, the concrete roads which connecting Koh Kod Subdistrict Office and police station to many harbors. Since it is far away 80 kms from the coast, all bad happenings (pollution) cannot destroy its spectacoular beauty.
